I want to ask a question on this forum but am not sure if its appropriate. My question is whether its useful to get Adobe certifications at all. I'm looking for work and am wondering if it would be helpful. I thought this would be a good place to ask..

As far as I'm concerned certifications and schools don't mean too much. Experience and a website with playable examples of your good work is the way to go. My 4 year video degree was expensive, and I would have rather spent that time getting real world experience. Many places love to have low or no pay interns that hang around. Usually you can play with their tools when you're not taking out the trash or making coffee. People like to hire their interns too. The pay may be low, but after 2 years you can go somewhere else with the knowledge you gained at a higher pay. 2 years after that you can go somewhere else for even more higher pay.
