HD Camera Operator and Sony F900 Rental

I am an HD camera operator and own a Sony F900 Camera, two seventeen inch HD Monitors, a Fuji 22 x 7.3 HD ENG Lens, Tripod, Batteries, AC adaptor, charger, 2 lavs, a shotgun/boom, lights, 2-way radios, a FCP bay, and other production and post equipment.
As an HD Camera Operator I primarily do documentary/ENG work since I can light, set-up and monitor sound, and shoot static interviews by myself - a producer, under the above circumstances, can hire just me without a loss in production value - I just get worked a bit more :). I recently duplicated a shoot which took 7 people by myself. Of course, I prefer to work with a crew and focus solely on being a DP / HD camera operator.
I have nearly a decade of experience shooting with the Cinealta family of cameras which includes the Sony F900. During that period, I have a slew of HD Camera Operator credits shooting with various 2K, HD, HDV & other proprietary cameras. These cameras are detailed below in the SKILLS section. However, I love to shoot with my Sony F900. If I camera operate with my Sony F900 camera, it allows me to help producers come in under budget. Quite simply, I own the HD camera equipment so I can make deals when it comes to Sony F900 rental rates.
Since 1999, I have served on HD start-to-finish productions. I began as an HD editor, graduated the HD Santa Fe Workshop in 2001 and became a HD Camera Operator and Digital Imaging Technician. Over the past decade, I have used every piece of HD equipment in HD production and post production.
On small shoots, I can do everything myself, if absolutely necessary: Produce, coordinate, budget, serve as DP / HD Camera Operator and shoot with my F900 camera or another HD, HDV or 2K camera, tech, record sound, light, convert formats, ingest / digitize, offline edit, sound sweeten / mix, create graphics, color correct, create motion graphics, export in any format and aspect ratio, convert Quicktime to Flash, burn DVDs, and/or use FTP.
On larger-scale shoots, I can design and implement the least expensive and most efficient HD workflow, communicate with crew, and supervise all production and post-production easily. I have a good sense of humor, am easy-going, and professional which makes shoots enjoyable for the entire HD crew. As a result, crew enjoys people working for, and with, me.
I have worked as an HD Camera Operator around the world for a decade. My clients include Discovery HD, National Geographic, Lucasfilm, BBC, CBS, Disney, MTV, HDNet, G4 and dozens of independent television, feature and concert producers.
