I need a talented roto artist to reduce the special effects make-up join on an actor’s neck that I have been unable to pull off convincingly myself. The still below is the end of a tracking shot where a character reveals his disfigurement and is a key dramatic element of the film (this is one of the first frames where the disfigurement is visible). There is a small amount of camera movement as the camera settles after the track and then the actor moves his head around 45 degrees to the right at the end of the shot.

The project was shot on a RED at 4K at 25 fps and the still below is from an ungraded 1080p 442 pro-res file. For grading the film will use the original R3D files so it would be beneficial if you used a software application that could handle R3D files. The file size for the R3D file is around 800 MB and I could send this to you via FTP.

As this is a short film there are very limited funds available, but I could offer a fee of €100/£80 and there would be a production credit and DVD of the finished film. The work needs to be completed by the 17th March.

Best wishes

Ed

You can see my demoreel at http://www.ale-zan.com.
Can you send me a low-res sample of the shot so I can see what we are talking about?
Best regards

Hi everybody,

Thank you all so much for responding to my post for a Roto Artist, I enjoyed watching all of your reels. I have now found an artist who I am happy to work with and as such the position is now closed. I wish you all the best of luck with your future projects.

Best wishes

Ed
