Composer needed
by Fiona Coveney on Nov 5, 2009 at 8:03:29 pm

Composer needed for a short student film!

I am currently a student at the UCA and urgently need an 8 minute long piece of instrumental piano music. I cannot offer any money as my budget is very tight but I can offer a DVD copy of the film once completed!

If anyone can help me then I would really appreciate it!

HI Fiona,

What kind of turn around do you need? I'm a pianist and film composer. You are welcome to check out: jonbrennanmusic.com It's still being updated, so a little slow. Do have the film online to view?

Thanks!

Jon

Hi Jon!

Thank you so much for your response,

I am due to start filming on the 16th of November. I should have a rough edit by early December and my deadline for the completed film is the 18th of January.

The films duration will be about 8 minutes long and is about a young girl finding love in an unknown town. There will be no dialogue so I will be relying on the music to convey a sense of loneliness.

I am not at my home at the moment but I could send through some storyboards for you to look at tomorrow evening?

Is this something that you would be interested in?

Kind regards,

Fiona

Hello Fiona!

I don't know if this thread is still actual but if yes I'd offer you my skills and compose music for you. I've already composed a mostly piano based music for a 12 minutes long short movie. You can watch it here:

Let me know what do you think about it.

Hi Fiona,

If you're still looking for a composer, I'd be very interested to collaborate with you.

I'm just starting as a film composer and would love to help. I'm just looking to gain some credits and experience.

I like the idea for your movie. You can hear some short samples of my work here: http://www.myspace.com/derlisgonzalez

Take a listen to "Love Theme" and "Mom's Advice".. perhaps that's something like what you're looking for.

If you hear anything you like, let me know!

Cheers,

Derlis
