Creative Intern for NYC based Visual Effects Studio

The Molecule provides visual and graphic effect services for television programming, feature films, commercials, music videos, documentaries, online content, and visual installations. With some of the most gifted and talented visual artists, The Molecule has been able to achieve a multitude of success. Its work has been featured on ABC, FX, The History Channel, Discovery, National Geographic, Focus Features, Animal Planet, and Frank Gehry's IAC building, to name a few.
We are looking for an intern that can combine the roles of Art Director, storyboard artist, and graphic designer in order to create pitch pieces, storyboards, and occasionally animatics for upcoming jobs and client bids. The role of this intern would be to create and design graphic elements that would be used for show openings, title sequences, lower thirds, and motion graphic animations. This can be a result of coming up with a concept from scratch or being able to take an existing idea and actualizing it graphically. Therefore, the candidate should be personable and be comfortable communicating with other people and expressing their ideas.
This intern should know photoshop and preferably after effects. Ideally s/he should be someone that could also fit roles of animator if a job came up for it. Therefore it would be ideal if the intern could animate their concept.
