Bacground Render has quit......

AE CS3 (intel)
I am getting regular (annoying) message swhen I launch AE. "The Background Render Process has quit.Would you like to CLOSE, REOPEN, etc."
I get this dialog box 2 or 3 times sometimes as AE is opening. I find it happens mostly when I double click on a project file to launch AE (as opposed to launching AE and opening from within AE.)
Any thoughts? Its really annoying.

Find the file "Background Render.crash.log" in (your home folder)/Library/Logs/CrashReporter and email it to support@gridironsoftware.com
That will give us a bit more detail to work with.
The other suggestion is finding the file "com.gridiron.nucleopro.BGrender.plist" in your Preferences folder and trashing it. Sometimes it seems that the preference file (which is only remembering things like position of the window on the screen) gets messed up and this can clear it out.
