RGB levels 16-235 encode properly to 0-255?

RGB levels 16-235 encode properly to 0-255?

Hi All

My edit suite (Media 100) exports video RGB at 16-235 as opposed to computer levels of 0-255 (like FCP I think).

Episode thinks the video is at 0-255 so the resultant encodes looked washed out - what's the best way to restore proper RGB levels to the encoded files? I've tried the black and white restore controls but that seems to make no difference.

Black/White restore should do the trick with black set to 16 and white set to 235. You can always try contrast too.

What Episode version are you running?
