Reverse the disintegration effect?

Hi! I'm a rank newcomer to Particle Illusion and was wondering whether/how a certain effect might be achieved. I looked at the tutorial for "disintegrating" someone, but I'd like to reverse that effect: have particles drift into view and assemble into the image. Can some kind soul point me in the right direction?
