No Visible Path When Using Curved Path
by Jeff Willis on May 22, 2008 at 8:44:44 pm

Hi, I'm brand new here.

Particle Illusion is turning out to be my newest favorite obsession and is making me very popular here at work with what I can do with it.

I do have one problem though. I can't see a visible "path" when I try to use Curved paths. I can see the curve handles and manipulate them but I see no dotted line to indicate a path as shown in the tutorial. Therefore the path is looking angular and wonky.

What did I do wrong?

A dot shows the position of the emitter at each frame. If your position keys are too close together (there are no frames between them) you won't see any "path".

If you do have keys that close together (perhaps from using a motion tracker, or using the "record position" feature) then there's no reason to use curved keys anyway.
