"Not a valid particleillusion project file"
by simond on Jan 16, 2007 at 1:38:29 pm

I'm trying to open several tutorial project files but each time I do I get the "Not a valid particleillusion project file" message. I can see the thumbnail fine in the Open dialog box but it never seems to be able to access the file.

Any ideas anyone? Using a trial of v3

Make sure that if it's a project file (ipf or ip3) then you use the "File - Open" menu to open the project. If it's a library file (iel or il3) then r-click in the library window and "load library".

Hi, it's an .ip3 file, taken from this tutorial:

You say you're using a pI3 demo -- what version does it display in the "about" box? It has to be 3.0.1a or better.
