Global Hue + Sat change using expressions

I wonder if anyone knows how to do this (I am an expression illiterate):
I have a several comps that contain multiple images of cells. These cells change colour (I have used the hue+sat filter to accomplish this) at varing time periods (showing the progression of infection) from the original hue/sat to the new version via 2 keyframes controlling the channel value. This is fine and dandy, but the client wants to change the colours and may well do again later on too if he is not happy.
What I am wondering is there a way to adjust the final value of all these hue + sats using expressions, so could adjust the colour on one instance and apply it to all the instances at their various times?
It seems possible, but I have no idea how it would work. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately it's not possible in this case. Hue/Saturation is a compound effect that only uses one stopwatch to animate its internal parameters. This means that you cannot gain control over it using expressions. You would need to change your setup to make use of other effects such as Tint, Solid Composite, fill and a few others.
