URGENT - Render Issues
by Martin Roe on Aug 23, 2008 at 3:01:16 am

Hi Everyone,

I am working on a project where we are taking in 1080P Apple Pro Res (HQ) and exportning the same using the render setting that is supposed to use the orginal settings of the clip.

However, when I examine the clip in FCP, what was Pro Res (HQ) Hi Res now says Medium Res.

The data rate is the same.

Can anyone tell me what is going on here?

Can you even change the QT resolution pref in color? If so, where.

Thanks,

Martin

Clarification

Excuse the Vagueness of the Last Post -

I would be really grateful if anyone had any information on this issue.

The client is very technically savvy and happy enough that the data rate is the same to let it go, but I wondered if anyone had any thoughts on what might be happening here.

In my original FCP Project timeline, the clips when I go to Tools>Anazlyze Movie>Clip I get the result Apple Pro Res (HQ) Most

However, after treating them in color and sending them back with the following settings

Render File Type - Quicktime

Quicktime Export Codecs - Original Format

The same examination reveals them to be Apple Pro Res (HQ) Medium

As I mentioned before the strange thing is that the data rate is the same.

Has anyone else encountered and hopefully (!) solved it.

Any suggestions would be greatfully received.

Also, has anyone else encountered the error in groups where the groups reconnect themselves to every group you have ever made?

I am currently timing a feature and can't use groups as it keeps on changing my groups around.

Cheers!

Martin
