Renders are blank (black)
by Ben Cohen on Jul 19, 2008 at 11:04:36 pm

I've finished correcting a music video and successfully rendered it once. I made a few changes and now when I render all the clips they show up as blank(black) quicktimes. The project successfully sends to Final Cut but everything is just black. Any ideas?

I'm exporting as Uncompressed 10-bit
My machine is a 2 x 2.66 Ghz Dual-Core Intel Xeon Mac Pro, 5 GB RAM, Mac OSX 10.5.4

Thanks in advance for any help.

-Ben

The source format is DV.

But...I fixed the problem by disconnecting a firewire DV converter box that I had connected and restarting the computer. The converter box is one of those small devices that allows you to connect an analog source into DV/firewire input (ie a VCR, DVD player, etc.). I don't know if that was causing the problem or if it was fixed solely by the computer reboot. Any thoughts?
