Not exporting back to FCP

Okay, I've color graded and rendered by clips in Color. When I send to FCP from there, I get a warning that says that not all the clips are rendered. This makes sense since I had some Boris text and LiveType elements in the timeline when I brought it into Color from FCP. Of course, the warning says that non-rendered clips will be linked to the original media.
Now, after telling Color to go ahead and proceed, I go to FCP where a new "(from Color)" sequence is created. When I check it out, it's the original (un-rendered) media and the only change is that the LiveType file is imported incorrectly.

Something to do with the clips that COLOR can't deal with, most likely.
You're going to have to get rid of 'em. You can't just delete them now, you'll have to insert a placeholder so that you can fix the project by creating a new COLOR project and re-import your original corrections. All clips must be in the original order for that to work.
Before you go to all that trouble, though... create a new dummy project excluding the offending clips and just see if it will round trip..
See Blase's "prepping is a PITA" thread a couple of entries down...

I'm using Color 1.0.2 (loaded with Final Cut Studio 2.0). Timeline codec is DVCPRO HD 720p60. Renders in Color are set to export using original codec.
One oddity I notice is that the frame rate in the Setup/Prjct Settings tab is set at 23.98, and I cannot modify it. Both the original footage and the FCP timeline are 29.97. The render QTs are also in 29.97. Might this be causing problems?

Okay, I created a "Final" sequence and put all the elements that wouldn't be making the trip to Color. Next, I collapsed the clips needing grading to V1 track and sent that to Color. After color grade and render, took the "from Color" sequence and nested it in the "Final" sequence. Round-trip successful.
Thanks for the tip on non-friendly elements -- that certainly wasn't in the manual. I checked the frame rate of the project with this workflow, and it was correct (29.97). None of the non-friendlies were in 23.98, so Color must've really disliked them.
