weirdness sending back to final cut

i'm working on a 20 min. silent film spoof. after color correcting a ten-scene-test sequence, Color would not send the sequence back to final cut. however, Color will successfully send a single-scene sequence back to final cut without any problem.
i've prepped my timeline as best i could(titlecards have been replaced with .movs, etc.). i've left the time remaps in tact. again, those don't pose any problem with the single-scene send backs.
i find it very odd that, in my present situation, Color will send a single clip back without any problem, but will not send back a longer sequence. any similar experiences or solutions?
