1080i project to colour via DVCPRO codec?
by Colourtheworld on Aug 28, 2007 at 5:13:19 am

Hello All,
I have a question about a 1080i project (59.94). I have a client who would like to have this project coloured in COLOR however I do realize there has been a huge problem with the DVCPro codec and other frame rates such as DVCPro 720p.
Has anyone had any trouble with 1080i and the above mentioned codec?
Has anyone tried to use Pro Res with1080i? If so...can I expect the same awful results seen with 720p?
Jacqueline

DVCPro HD has been working fine since the last update.

What awful results? 720 and 1080 both look the same here, clean.

Biggest problem we've had lately is the scopes don't update in the Secondaries room when using 23.98 frame rate.

72op would not keep 1280x960 aspect ratio and when sequence is rendered in FT and xml'd back to FCP it only reconize the original seq.
