Apple Color Quits on Open

Hi Everyone,
After opening a project I'm trying to grade in Color, it quits every time. Once it opens the project, if I don't press anything it stays open, but as soon as I move the playhead it quits. The clips are Prores 422 format and the project was sent to color using the send to color function.
Any help is much appreciated!

Try to eliminate any system problems. What form those might take depends on your hardware configuration and operating system.

Then attempt to run COLOR in a minimal load situation -- ie start a new empty project, try loading a few clips by hand and see if it is still able to function.

There may be a problem with your exported project.

Hi Joseph,
Color is able to open any previous projects I've made without any issues, but it still crashes every time I open this one. I tried copying and pasting my Final Cut sequence into a new sequence and exporting that to Color, but no luck. Any other ideas?

I think last week there was a poster complaining of garbled output, which would be a different manifestation of what is sometimes the same problem -- something unsupported in the FCP sequence.

At this point, you should divide the sequence into segments and try loading them one at a time to sort out where the problem lies.

Hi Joseph, I removed all the title clips and it worked out fine. But now I have an even bigger issue, which maybe should be a new thread, but you seem very knowledgable on the topic so I thought I'd ask you...
I color graded my entire project yesterday and last night, and today when I opened color it prompted me that I needed to select a new render location. I did, and when I opened my color project all the clips had red X's on them like in the attached photo. I really hope I haven't lost all my work. Any idea how this can be fixed?

UPDATE: After taking a look at other Color projects I've worked on in the past, I've found that most of them also have this issue. Must have something to do with the relocation of the render folder... I don't really know what that was about. Any idea how I can put it back the way it was?

Render folder is all about destinations, but it looks like all your media is off-line, so time to do some re-connecting...
