I'm editing a project that was shot using a haze machine on set. In some of the footage the haze is too thin. It looks sharper than the other footage. How can I match this footage with the material w denser haze in the shot? Is there a plug in for FCP? Can it be done in Color? A stand alone program like Tiffen dFX? What is tge best way to match this footage?

After Effects or Smoke with the right plug-ins and filters can do this. Look for a mist or fog filter and then apply to the shot as necessary.

I would do this BEFORE you color grade and then send the FX'd shots through Color. Will make it much easier to match up the color grading.
