 | RED to DPX to Color workflow

I've searched a bit on these forums for a workflow for getting DPX files into Color but I can't find a workflow or figure out how to do it.
Here's what I have:
Sequence in FCP edited with Prores proxy clips created in FCP from R3D footage.
What would be the process for rendering Red Log DPX clips from REDCINE and getting them into Color with my sequence's EDL?
I've usually reconnected to 2K wrappers created by FCP Log & Transfer > Native and sent to Color. This is a fine workflow but I want to try branching out mainly to get better use of the HSL key options in Color which do not work well with native R3D footage.
Any info or direction you can give me would be greatly appreciated!
