hi
not using fcp i imported a prores seq added edits in the time line graded those shots but now would like to upgrade the seq and keep the edit points and thus the grades
is this possible? what would be the ideal work flow in this situation?
i could save the grades and drop them back on top of a new time line but was just hoping there was a way to replace the video already in the timeline

also is there one file format that works across fcp color ae ! without gamma changes

does anyone know if color is being developed further?

thanks

[simon brewster] "would like to upgrade the seq and keep the edit points and thus the grades "

Name the original QT that you imported "MyGreatMovieOLD.mov" and use the original name that COLOR wants to link to when you create the new improved Quicktime. Save it where the original was, and like magic, when you open the project the next time....

The format that doesn't have gamma issues is dpx. Otherwise the gamma complication is endemic to Quicktime.

You'd have to be inside the LOOP at Cupertino, but I will guarantee you this: its not finished, as in complete, either.
