Just installed my version of FCS2, read the Color setup guide in the meantime. Launched FCP with no problems but when I tried to send a project to Color got a message:
"Unable to initialize OpenGL. Make sure Video Destop is disabled".
I didn't see anything about that in the setup guide, nor did I find a "Desktop Video" option to uncheck.
Anyone?
Thanks in advance,
E.C.

I'm presuming your using an AJA kona card... FT/color won't work if your default output is Macintosh Desktop... Cchange it to a test pattern or bars, just anything but Mac Desktop....
its in the Kona Control Panel

Hi I also have a blackmagic card. When I preview out to monitor the vsync is off, meaning that if I pause the upper half part of the output is one frame behind. Never seen anything like it. I have an ATI1900 card on Intel macpro. You seeing this?

He's acutally using Blackmagic Decklink so he'll have to go into the Apple System Preferences and disable the desktop on restart.

Boy, it's funny to start hearing about people having the bugs that we had a year ago, like this one.

Let us know if that fixes it.

[Russell Lasson] "He's acutally using Blackmagic Decklink so he'll have to go into the Apple System Preferences and disable the desktop on restart."

On the 6.2 drivers no restart necessary.

I installed the new drivers. Then turned off the Desktop and viola - it went black straight away.

5 years in the waiting for that feature.
