Color/tangent Wave bug or oversite?

I have mapped 'Toggle playback' to a function key. I use this in conjunction with 'Mark in' and 'Mark out' to 'loop playback' over a scene change. So when I have finished this 'loop playback' I need to go back to full timeline playback.
But I have noticed that the GUI does not respond to the key command until I move my mouse. So in essence it still shows the 'Mark in' and 'Mark out' indicators even after the 'Toggle playback' function key has been pressed, then with a slight mouse movement those markers then disappear.
Under normal 'mouse to menu 'Toggle playback' clicking (not using the Wave panel) this would not be a problem, obviously because the mouse was being moved when selecting the menu item.
Can someone else confirm this behaviour?

This happens with me too. Fairly well known bug with regards to the Wave.
Still works fine but you just have to click away on the interface if you wish to see the playback mode changed visually. It's got to the stage where it doesn't bother me anymore, I just toggle until it does what I want.
As for hitting the "play" button, the OP means the "toggle playback" button which adjusts the in and out points of the clip to either be the length of the current clip or the full sequence.

[Jack Jones]"the OP means the "toggle playback" button which adjusts the in and out points of the clip to either be the length of the current clip or the full sequence."
Thanks Jack for clarifying that but more to the point I mainly use 'Mark in' and 'Mark out' to set the 'play between' markers so as I can repeatedly "play across" an edit which "toggle playback" allows me to do.
And to update the display after pressing "toggle playback" I only have to move my mouse.
