Is it possible to attach a user shape to a manual motion tracker ?

It seems like it would work... when I go to the secondary room both the tracker number and user shape are selected... but when I scrub through the shot the tracker doesn't track.
If I change from user shape to square or circle then tracker works.

Helo everyone
I can't seem to attach a shape in manual tracking, I set and IN and OUT(tracking Tab in geometry room) point and two track points at beginning and end of sequence where the object starts and ends moving, the shape simply jumps from one end to the other with no movement in between, I can make it work by processing the track, which creates an individual track point every frame, but I expected manual tracking would advance every frame in between two track points.
I'm running Color 1.5, is anyone running Manual tracking successfully, are two track points enough or do I need to do it frame by frame.

Manual tracking means that you manually click the tracking point on each frame, as opposed to automatic tracking, which processes the point tracking for you.
Here is a great place for you to start getting your head around the tracking options.
