Pan & Zoom problem with cross dissolve
by Lucas Young on Nov 2, 2009 at 3:30:43 am

Hi guys
I'm using the Pan and Zoom (advanced) freebie plugin from the site to get the Ken Burns effect happening on a sequence of photos. The plugin only works on one photo at a time. If I line up two photos next to each other using this plugin, and try and cross dissolve between them, there is a slight "jump" (i.e. a slight zoom out) when the playhead hits the edge of the cross dissolve. How can I dissolve between clips using this plugin?

Many thanks in advance

Hi Lucas,

The generator shouldn't act any differently than other clips for the purpose of adding a transition. Perhaps there are other settings (motion, geometry) that are causing the unwanted pop.

Please contact us on Tech Support, we could try to replicate your sequence settings and build a sample project for you.

I downloaded Pan & Zoom yesterday to try it out. Got the same problem. Whether it was a plain dissolve or FX Factories transitions, there was a bump at the start and end. Tried trimming both sides back, but always got a mismatched frame at the transition.
