FxFactory 2.1 still not working

I just installed FxFactory 2.1. When I try to use one of my Noise Industries plugins I get multiple errors about there being 2 copies of this plugin and that plugin. Ultimately I don't get to use any of them.

Doesn't the fix install over top the previous installation? Where should I look for files to delete? They seemed to be spread out into multiple locations, and not just in the AE plugins folder.

Hi John,

The exact error message and when it occurs would be very helpful.

Have you checked the FxFactory application (located in your applications folder)? Launch FxFactory and check if any of the FxPacks show up twice!

Actually I just figured it out. The older FxFactory.plugin was in the After Effects plugin folder and the 2.1 version was installed in the Common folder.

I am having a problem with fxfactory 2.1. Ever since i updated to 2.1 and leopard snow final cut keeps crashing on certain effects. Please Help!

I am having an issue with livetype, I cant see anything, all i see is transparent background, and if I do it looks squished and not locked in proper place

Hi Rich,

Some more info would be great. What effects cause what behavior exactly? Any error messages. The more info the better.

FxFactory plug-ins do not work in livetype.

I'm experiencing a crash every time I open FCP6 with FxFactory 2.1.1 installed. The program runs fine for about one minute and then crashes. I don't even have to start working on the project. All I have to do is open FCP6, wait one minute and the system crashes with an error message indicating that 2.1.1 my be causing issues.

I'm running FCP 6.0.6 with OSX 10.5.8 with 16GB of RAM on an Eight Core MacPro. I also have a Matrox MXO box. No trouble with past FxFactory upgrades until 2.1.1.

Any help would be great. Thank you,

What exactly is the error message? Have you tried trashing FCP preferences already?
