Ken Burns Plugin issue?

Hello all. I'm a video editor here in Chicago for a nice media production company/ad agency, and I'm doing a little side project that requires use of the Ken Burns plugin. However, when I load up FCP and follow the tutorial directions, I have the following problems:
The FXFactory logo does not appear at the top, which makes me think that there is something wrong concerning the install of the plugins themselves.
I want to pan and scan an image, but it will not let me choose an image path. Even if I disable setup mode. It's weird, because I got this thing to work on a previous install when I was just fiddling around.
If I choose the Project Media option, the canvas changes to a well screen, prompting me to pull media. Doing so only overwrites the plugin with the image I am pulling, it does not apply a pan and scan to it.
To try to fix the problem I uninstalled FXFactory and reinstalled, then rebooted, then started Final Cut again. Didn't work, same problem. I don't want to go back to keying scans, especially since this project will have tons of them!!!
Is there something I'm doing wrong? How do I get this plugin to recognize the image I want to pan and zoom around?
Hasty reply would be much, much appreciated! Thanks!

Hi,
A few quick questions first:
- What version of MacOS, FCP, Motion, FxFactory are you using?
- Have you upgraded to FxFactory 2.1 yet?
- After installing FxFactory 2.1 have you also installed the latest Pan and Zoom plug-in? This is a separate step and it is available here:
http://www.noiseindustries.com/fxfactory/panandzoom/ - Image wells should appear alongside the parameters when in Project Media mode. Do they not?
- What exactly happens when you try to define a path for the file? You say it doesn't work, what exactly happens?

Nicolas, thank for your very prompt reply! Really appreciate it.
Here are your answers:
I'm running OSX 10.6.1 on a 2.26GHZ Core 2 Duo with 2GB DDR3.
FCP 6.0.6.
I just downloaded FXFactory from your website yesterday, as well as the newest freebies pack that you have up there, so I assume its the most recent versions available. Version 2.1 Build 8F7.
Nothing happens, because I cannot define a file. The option simply does not exist. It isn't grayed out... Here, a screenie might help:
Notice how the setup looks pretty different here from how it does on the tutorial, and I while it looks like I have the option to choose the media, it's not really there. When I pull down from Image File to Project Media, this happens:
Keep in mind, I want to use the Image File option if I could. Dragging an image to that green area merely overwrites the pan and scan in the timeline and it becomes a normal image.

Hi Jonah,
There is clearly something wrong here as the banner is not showing up at the top as it should. We will look into that asap and get back to you.
That being said, if you choose Project Media you should not drag the project media file to the green canvas but to the small square below the drop down for which you chose Project Media inside the parameter listing. The square with the ? in it that is labeled image.
We will get back to you about the missing banner image. Two things you can try right now. Have you tried restart FCP and have you tried trashing FCP preferences already?
