Coverflux: more than 25 pictures possible?
by Thomas Skarke on Sep 7, 2009 at 11:02:55 am

Hello!

i am using coverflux the first time (in motion 3) and i am very impressed! the only thing i would like to manage: more than 25 pictures in one "flow-stream".

i have read the manual and found this:

"If you wish to add more images to the
plugin after you have established the path,
you will need to refresh the cache. This can
be done by navigating to another folder &
back, or saving, quitting and then restarting
Motion.
"

tried it, but no success :-(

can you help me please?

thank you very much,
thomas from germany

Hi Thomas,

Thanks for using CoverFlux :-) The documentation refers to something slightly different than the maximum number of pictures allowed. The limit is hard-coded at 25 pictures, and there is currently no way to increase it.

The documentation is giving you tips to solve a different problem. Suppose that you are animating a folder with 4 images, and that you add 2 more in the Finder without quitting FCP/Motion/AE. Until recently, CoverFlux was not able to pick up the new files automatically. The documentation offers ways to force CoverFlux to load the two new images.

Starting with CoverFlux 1.0.3 (link below) those gymnastics are no longer necessary. CoverFlux will observe when images are added/removed from the folder it's animating, and render the changes immediately:
