Some podcasts come with source files, other don't. If I don't mention them at the end of mine, you won't find them here.

But, since bandwidth won't be an issue, they will be released on a DVD with all of my podcasts from this past year (which Also includes 1 hour and 15 minutes of extra training).

Eran often has project files, but not always.

On the specific podcast's page, under download the tutorial here, you may see a Download the Project files Here link as well.

Best,

Aharon

I am working on a project on Mac Final Cut 2 and have been using the Sony HDR-HC3 HDV Camera (tape based) very effectively, using the traditional method of digitizing in the tape for post. This consumer level was selected, due to the sensitivity of the shooting environment and the fact that the producer did not want to draw attention away from the matter being filmed.

Recently a batch of new content that would help the project was made available to me, however it was shot on a Sony HDR-SR5 and stored in AVCHD files. I am thinking these are Sony's version of MPEG2? There is no apparent way for me to transfer these files directly to my Mac, the camera software is for PC only. I tried using Parallel on my MAC to bring in files with fire wire, but this does not seem to want to work either.

Does anyone have a simple work-around for this little nightmare that Sony has created? I don't have a lot of time left and no money for any additional equipment purchases. It is important to maintain the integrity of the content close to its original quality. (I do not have much more file info than stated above, however, I could probably find out more if needed). I have heard some of the various problems associated with this proprietary format BS, but have managed to avoided it until now. Shame on you sony, any help would be much appreciated in this consumer camera created conundrum.
