Digits man problem,

Hi,

Love the podcast.

I am seeing a rather horrible problem that cropped up after fooling around with the Digits Man project. I am on Mac and this "bug" shows itself on my Macbook Pro and Mac Pro (both latest CS3 and Leopard)

To see it:

1. Create a 1080 29.97 comp.
2. Draw a text bounding box that covers the entire comp size.
3. Type in some text (like 1234567890) in white so you can see it at size 36 or so.
4. Copy this text and begin pasting it over and over into the text box so that the box begins to fill up with the text.
5. At some point (about half way covering the comp with text) all the text will simply disappear!

Can anyone else confirm this?

Thanks,

Lance

I've seen this problem before it happens when you copy and paste more than 6500 digits (BTW - it also happens with Photoshop and Illustrator).
I'm not sure if this is a bug or just slow behavior from AE.
Anyway here's possible solutions:

• Fill up half of the screen than add a space and continue to fill the rest of the Text box, then go back and delete that space.
• Change the Text Paragraph size then try to paste, Also reduce your paste line to smaller chunks, say 2 lines each time.
• Download the project files and use my project which should work perfect for you, then you can use your own image as well (like I demonstrated in Part 2).
