Unrecoverable Error??
by will morris on Jun 16, 2008 at 1:32:31 am

last week i was getting ready to use Ultra.(the original version)
Never having any issues before, i was prceeding as usual keying out my background, and watching the video for any problems...
anyway i was happy with the key, so i filled in the file output and while the video was still playing i hit the output button to begin rendering.
this is when the unrecoverable error popped up, an proceeded to shut down ultra.
so i restarted the program and tried again...but, now the file location box has this in it.../, and i cant type a new location to save. Also the browse button wont bring up a dialog to search and save to my desired location...what happened?.anyone have any solutions?
Im thinking i wont have any luck with Adobe helping me? any others with the same thoughts?
thanks
will

Will, apparently Adobe has admitted to a serious bug in Ultra CS3 that might only be fixed in CS4... (recent info from DVINFO.net)

Not very nice for those of us that occasionaly need it's better outline chroma skills! AE is great for most uses, but for the HD stuff we do using Cineform Prospect 4K, that finer control is needed...and not usable. Right now, for us, Ultra is a very expensive, totally useless addition to CS3.

Sure hope Adobe does not wait for CS4 for a fix. That would not make us very happy.
