FW cable lenght?

I just got the CS4 production suite for MAC and am looking forward to playing with OL. What is the maximum length of FW cable that you guys would use going to an HVX200? I know 6ft will be great for lockdown shots, but what if I was in a location, had good strain relief and want to go handheld? How far could I get from my MB Pro?

The maximum cable length specified by the IEEE1394 standard is 4.5 meters.
