What is the maximum length of firewire cable to connect a camcorder to a computer with OnLocation? Thanks!

That depends on the data rate. With DVCPRO HD, the recommended maximum is 4.5 meters (~15 ft). With DV and HDV, you should be safe at 25-30 feet.
With repeaters, you can extend the range.
