Basic Capturing Advice
by Dan Edwardson on Jul 14, 2009 at 8:01:30 am

Hi
Last Sunday was my Churches second annual event "Church On The Green" This year we decided to film the whole thing.
I have about 5/6h /tapes of footage and I am currently converting all the footage to my PC via OL, to edit i am using P-PRO
I have relised that P-PRO doesn't like long footage
Is there any easy way of cutting the clip to the right scene without having to constantly use the camera and the tapes
I am aware of Audio Scene Cutting, however as this was an outdoor event the audio is sometimes quite erratic

Any help much appreciated

Dan

"I have relised that P-PRO doesn't like long footage"
Does PPro lockup when you import long clips? If not, just drag the edges to the start and stop time you want. If it does lockup and you cant use PPro, try Windows movie maker to cut down the video to the sizes you want. You will be with an unnessecary compression hit this way. Here's a link to a free video splitter you can try.

Hope this helps, Danny
