	Newbie camera connection issues by Bennett Scattergood on Jun 16, 2008 at 10:25:08 pm Hi all, vista home premium 2.1 ghz amd dual 3gb ram I just got this OL program and i seems to want a firewire connection. I understand this is standard for HD cameras, however, this particular camera happens to be a canon S3 (with a CHDK upgrade) that can only connect via usb. Can OL correspond via usb? I figure with the expense of the software and all, it better be able to but i have not found a way to do it. thx cheers, Ben Respond to this post Return to posts index

Windows movie maker is a free capture ware that sees usb cameras but of course you lose the OL ability to setup the camera correctly before capture. Firewire is the standard for DV and HDV cameras.
