Can I EMBED date and time
by Andy Browne on Feb 12, 2008 at 5:31:46 pm

Soon I will be videotaping legal depositions. I am required to display the on-screen date and time of my original video. Unfortunately my camera (Sony VX2100) captures this information as meta data and only plays it on the screen when I choose to reveal it from my camcorders menu buttons.

I plan to make either a VHS or DVD of the deposition and give that to my client. Is there a way for OnLocation to embed that information directly onto the AVI file I capture? This way I then just burn it to disk.

On location can't add anything to the captured video. If you can set your camera to display the info so it's visible all the time, I would suggest doing that.
