Field Monitor "Effects"

Hi all - hope you can help...
I'm a newbie to OL - have set up the camera OK and can see the image on the field monitor.
However after a few minutes OL decides to add some cheesy "effects" to the video such as fish eye, scrolling cube etc.
These are very nasty - how can they be turned off?
