DV Rack HD Installation
by Taylor Collins on Jun 7, 2007 at 1:04:43 pm

I bought a copy of DV Rack HD..... hoping that before Serious Magic got TOTALLY swallowed up by the Borg, that I could get it up and running on my new MacBook Pro. I know this is possible, I've seen posts, and even exchanged e-mails with people who are doing it successfully.

Unfortunately, in the early stages of the install process, DV Rack asks that I install the .NET Framework from Microsoft. Of course, the link that they provide in the installation process takes me to a stupid Adobe sales page...... but I went directly to Microsoft, found the Version 2 .NET Framework installer, and ran it.

Now the DV Rack installer still says "You must install the .NET stuff". There's a warning there that says..."If DV Rack is still griping for the .NET stuff, click here to send an e-mail". Naturallyl, those e-mails go unanswered from Adobe....

Does anybody have any expertise about this... and what I might do to get this installed and working?

Thanks!

Hi Taylor

had this issue on Windows as well. The trick is that HDVRack
wants the .net framework in version 1.1, not 2! Just get the
1.1 from Microsoft, install it, then run the installer again.

That did the trick for me.

Hope this helps
