IPOD no longer changes from horizontal to vertical view

I've had my Ipod for about a year.

I recently noticed that when I rotate my Ipod the image/document does not rotate with my movement. Is there a switch/button I need to click or unclick.... could it be that this option is broken?

If you haven't already sorted the problem I have a solution.

On the new iOS you double tap the button at the bottom of the iPod to bring up your multi-tasking bar.
Swipe to the left once and you should have a rotation lock button, which you have probably ticked by accident.

Thanks for replying! Yes, I did resolve the problem... sort of embarassing actually.. I had the screen inadvertantly on "lock".
