Fast forwarding AudioBooks

I have an 80GB Ipod and have recently downloaded a couple of books from friends. They can be 12 hours long or more and it can be a chore to sit there fast forwarding to the point where i last listened to the book which couild be near the end. is there a faster way of doing this?

Another Question about editing. How can i move a bunch of, for example, comedy pieces across to the comedy category on my iPod and remove it from the 'music' list so I don't have to listen to them when I shuffle songs.
