weak signal video out

weak signal video out

I have an 80gb two year old ipod and I'm trying to get video out to a tv set, but nothings shows on the tv. I did change the movie settings to tv out "on" but it looks that I get a weak signal message on the tv set, any way to trouble shoot it?
