Ipod Touch and video
by Marcus Lovitt on Jan 29, 2009 at 2:30:03 pm

Hi all,

I've been trying to put a video I produced onto my iPod Touch. After rendering the video in Sony Vegas, I'm using the Videora iPod Touch converter to put the video onto my player. The thing is, when I go to watch the video on my iPod, there's no sound. This has happened several times now, but only when I try to put one of my own videos onto my iPod (videos downloaded from elsewhere are fine).

Can anyone suggest what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks,

Marcus

To quote our irrepressible friend and iPod video guru, Aharon Rabinowitz, "The safest way to export video to an iPod is with Quicktime Pro. It's not the only way, but it is the safest way." Quicktime Pro has an Export to iPod function that works every time.

What I suspect is happening is that whatever export procedure you are using is interlacing the audio into the video in the incorrect format for the iPod.

Best,

Ron Lindeboom
