Broadcast quality screen movies (Mac)

What are my options for creating a screen capture movie tutorial that will be edited in with miniDV content from a camcorder? I can either record audio along with the screen capture or dub it in later. I use SnapzPro to create web-ready QT movies. Can I adjust frame rate and compression codecs to get a high enough quality for broadcast TV. Is there a way to drive screen output directly to a camcorder's DV tape? Would this give the best quality? Thanks.

I think that doing a software screen capture is the way to go. I wouldn't bother with doing a hardware capture (outputting to a MiniDV recorder). That was the way to go BEFORE software capture was efficient enough.
You can output your SnapzPro capture to whatever codec you'd like. So, I would just capture your tutorial or whatever it is your doing and export to whatever codec you're editing in. DV?
I don't do the tutorials like you see here at the COW, but I think that the easiest way to put it all together is to write a script, and then voice it. After that, use the VO as timing reference as you move the mouse on the screen doing the screen capture.
Personally, when I do the odd screen capture I don't use Snapz Pro any longer. I really like the progran called iShowU. It's just SOOOO much faster at capturing and then immediately having a usable video for editing into a timeline.
I wish I could be of more help!

Thanks for the tip, Richard. And nice tutorials. Did you move from Snapz Pro because of the long save times or does iShowU have other, better features? Looking through their manual I couldn't find much (that I need) that isn't already in Snapz Pro. Seems easy to use, but with all the other things I have on my plate for this project, I'd rather not deal with a new toy unless it will give a better result.
