Is it possible to create "event driven" podcasts
by Todd George on Mar 28, 2007 at 6:28:08 pm

Hello all

just wonder is it possible to create podcasts that are event driven

in other words could I use the buttons on an ipod (full size iPod with video capabilities) to move forward to specific points in a pod cast similar to the way I can jump to specific chapters on a dvd

for that matter can I make "stories" (chapter selections ) within a podcast just like I can within a dvd

I have access to the Final Cut Suite so if this idea is possible I may have the tools to get it together if there are other applications I need please let me know that as well

thanks to everyone in advance for your help in this matter

take care

Hi Todd,

I've never tried anything like what you're envisioning, but I know that since your podcast will most likely be a QuickTime file, then you can tap into the extended programming capabilities that QT offers. A quick Google search for QuickTime Programming found these documents from Apple's developers site. I don't have time to see if they're current, but it may provide a good jumping off point for you!

Good luck!
