Wayback in 2009 someone asked a similar question but from a Vegas pro. Which is. How do I send a project to architect. In my case I can send it but when it gets there what do I do with it. I can make a movie but It's really hard to do any editing or how do I change the name from it which is now "Untitled" Why does Vegas change the name to "Untitled"? It is easy to use windows movie maker but it is reduced in quality as in windows it is about an hour long but in architect it should be about 1:23 so I'd like to use architect. Plus it's editing features of course. My version is 4.5 I paid for it so would like to use it. I can not find anything in Architect or Vegas movie maker on this subject of sending it to Architect. Maybe it is there but I haven't found it so far. Have a nice day.

You use the Make Movie button.

DVD Architect is not for editing; it is for authoring a DVD with menus. The untitled project is your DVD project not your video project. This is where where you add your video to the DVD menu, perhaps add a submenu with chapters and burn your DVD. Don't forget to give this untitled project a meaningful name when you save it. You will then have a Movie Studio project for editing your video and a DVD Architect project for creating your DVD. They are two separate programs with two separate project files.

The term editing was not the right one to use I suppose but I am editing architect when I change menus and other features I think. I did not intend to edit the project. I also am aware that I can make a movie by calling up "make movie" but I need to give it a name and add other projects to the finished DVD. I use Architect 4.5 which came with Vegas 9 Platium Pro. A really great program but I need to know more. Sound Forge also came with it but I haven't even started on it. First things first. So the situation is Architect comes up with my project titled "Untitled" Once way back I did some changing of titles and so on and came up with a disc of just menus and no program so I don't want that to happen again. Too much time was wasted. So please help me with this next step. I've got the project into Architect titled "Untitled" and I want to add a previously created project to that one as I want a full disc if possible. I have a few previous dar files if that is what it takes. But I have looked everywhere on Architect I could find where to add another after I have sent the project to Architect from Sony Movie Maker. I am not sure without looking what is a valid file that will add to an architect project. First I need to know where the add button is. The reason I don't just chuck it all and use (shall I say the word it starts with 'w') It is simple and does the job but compromises the quality considerably I am sure. The material quality is bad enough and I don't need to degrade it any more. If you can make sense of this I will thank you for your reply.

Drag and drop a video file from anywhere on your hard drive onto the menu. That's all you need to do to add a file to the DVD Architect menu.

You can add just about any type of video file you want and DVD Architect will convert it into the format that is required to create a DVD. If you want to bypass this conversion process, you should render your video to Main Concept MPEG-2 using one of the DVD Architect ... templates and render your audio as Dolby Digital AC-3 giving it the same name as the video file but with a .AC3 extension instead of .MPG. This is what the Make Movie button does for you automatically.
