Hi,
(First of all - this has never happened before)
I have been working on a video using Sony Vegas Pro 10, and have spent many, many hours & days on this video. A minute ago, I was trying to drag a song to the Media Bin - it wasn't working, then SV asked me to save and I clicked to save without looking too hard (because I am tired from editing so long). The entire timeline is gone! The media are still there, and it still shows 12 tracks, but apparently it deleted the video/timeline! WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED?! OMG... HELP!

Exit without saving and open it again.
If it doesn't come back properly, look for the backup veg file (should be in the same directory as the veg file and has a .bak extension after .veg),
Copy that to a different folder, rename it by deleting the .bak portion of it and see if it opens properly.

I just tried your suggestion, and it didn't work. Please give me any other ideas! I don't understand why all of my edits are gone. Anything is welcome!!!

btw... I did see a few .baks (.bak, .bak.bak, .bak.bak.bak) and none of them show a proper video! Did I accidentally click on something or do something that can be fixed? Oh gracious, I am desperate!!!

I've searched several other Vegas forums and couldn't find anyone else with this problem so I can't offer a solution.
I suggest you post this in the other Vegas forum and hope that someone there has an idea for you.

Thanks for helping Mike. I think I may have to redo the whole video. I have no choice, but maybe someone else will see this, and give suggestions.
