 | Cookie Cutter Glitch???

Hi all,
I am not new to video editing but I am new to Vegas Pro. I recently purchased VP 11 and I am admittedly at the low end of the learning curve.
I am attempting what I know is a basic video effects trick. I have two video tracks, one layered on top of the other and i am using the Cookie Cutter Video FX tool to show just a little bit of the lower layer through on to the top layer of video. I used the Default Cookie Cutter selection and chose the oval shape. No problem, the effect worked fine.
Then I added two more similar video tracks, as tracks 3 and 4, to play after those first two tracks and tried to use the same Cookie Cutter effect. However, I couldn't select the oval shape. The default was Circle and although I selected Oval, only the Circle shaped mask would show. No other shaped mask would work either.
I restared the project from scratch to no avail. I uninstalled the software and re-installed it and started the project again from scratch and the Oval shape is still not available to me in the Default Cookie Cutter video fx.
I have contacted Sony's customer support about it but I haven't heard back from them (it's been 48 hours). Is this a glitch or am I doing something wrong?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated since my project is completely on hold because of this issue.
