Hi folks,

I've just downloaded a Trial of Sony Vegas 11 Pro to try it out.

I have about 60GB of .MOV footage recorded on 5d and 7d, and the DOPs recommended that (if I was using Final Cut) I should do the following:

1) Download the Canon EOS V1.2 plugin for FCP
2) Use the log and transfer tool in fcp
3) Change the preferences to use the EOS plugin, and output to ProRes 422 (HQ).
4) Drag in your .mov files.

Is there an equivalent I should do in Vegas?

Thanks!
Rich

Just drop the events (what Vegas calls a clip) on your timeline.
As long as you have a decent processor (i7 2600 or better), Vegas should play them without any problems.
