Sony Vegas Pro 8 help
by GiNA Macaroni on Jun 26, 2008 at 3:04:27 pm

Hey everyone!! I'm new to the forums and new to Vegas Pro.

I just got Sony Vegas Pro 8 and I'm really excited to get started using it.

Before I got this I was using Windows Movie Maker. One thing I liked about it was it had the "Collections" place where you could keep stored clips.

Does Vegas have anything like this and if so please explain.

Your clips are kept wherever they are captured to. You can set that up to be anywhere with any file name. When you open a Vegas project you then import what clips you need into that project. You actually only place a reference, the clip is not recopied to a new location in that way you do not use up more Hard drive space. These references are kept in a PROJECT MEDIA window that will stay with the project.
