Question about Buying Xpress Pro

Hi everyone. I see a lot of unbelievably cheap versions of Avid Xpress Pro available online as downloads. I know that Avid has discontinued the brand, so I thought that maybe this was the reason why it was being offered so inexpensively. But should these sellers be trusted? Don't you need a dongle to operate the program? And if you download the software, where is the dongle? Are they all illegal, pirated versions to be avoided?

Yes.
No.
Maybe...
You will neede a dongle for XPress - if you buy a copy I'd make sure it stated specifically it had a dongle AND is new in box (with the original shrink wrap). It's very possible someone has used their copy to upgrade to MC, and you'll not get the advantage of Avid's upgrade offer.
Caveat emptor....
