Hi,

I am trialling Premiere and having an issue that I can seem to find a solution to online. In my sequence, when I use the fader in the mixing panel to change the levels of one clip in a sequence its doing it for EVERY clip in my sequence which is causing me lots of headaches... What am I doing wrong?

Many thanks
dale

For now, changing audio in the audio mixer adjusts all clips on that track. This will change when Premiere Pro CC is released. To change audio on a clip by clip basis you need to select the clip and change the levels in the sequence. This Andrew Devis tutorial will explain it better.

Hope that helps

Is it possible the sequence has "Show Track Keyframes/Volume" instead of "Show Clip Keyframes"
Having Track Keyframes/Volume selected will cause the entire tracks audio to change when adjusting the volume IN the Sequence.

When you use the Audio Mixer it affects the whole track, if you want just one clip to fade the audio you do that in the timeline with keyframes or use audio cross dissolves to fade in and out.
In the audio track header you set it to Show Clip Keyframes.
You can use the Pentool to set keyframes or hold down ctrl and use the Selection Tool.

I ran into the same problem and found that by Disabling the Automatic Range Rescaling box fixed the issue. Open the effects tab for the individual audio clip and you'll see that the default setting has it enabled.
